IYKYK opened in July 2025 on Austin Street in Forest Hills, Queens, and the name does what it's supposed to do: signal that this place is for people who know, which in practice means the bar has built its identity around the neighborhood it's in rather than trying to export a downtown concept to Queens.

The cocktail program uses premium spirits and house-made ingredients, leaning into the speakeasy aesthetic with low lighting and a modern sensibility. Wednesday is all-day happy hour. Thursday is Ladies Night. Friday brings a DJ. Saturday runs a sing-along brunch. Sunday is football specials. The programming is built for a neighborhood that does its going-out locally rather than commuting into Manhattan.

Forest Hills is a few minutes from Forest Hills Stadium, which draws enough visitors that a cocktail bar nearby serves multiple functions. IYKYK is new enough that its long-term character is still forming, but the early programming suggests something that intends to become a genuine neighborhood institution.
