Mangrove is at 103 NW 1st Avenue in Downtown Miami, and it's accessible through Jrk!, the Jamaican restaurant it sits behind. There's no visible signage from the street and the entrance is through a building that faces a vacant lot near Government Center, making it essentially invisible to anyone who doesn't already know it's there.

The room is small and dark, with red leather seats, low-slung tables, and a bar lined with bottles. In the early evening it runs as a dinner spot serving Jamaican food: whole fried snapper, jerk chicken, and a cocktail menu that leans on hot peppers and tropical fruit. The Hotstepper is tequila with house hot sauce, passionfruit liqueur, agave, and lime. As the night moves on it shifts toward a lounge, with a vinyl-heavy playlist and a bar crowd.

It's been described as a Jamaican speakeasy, which is unusual enough that it's worth the effort to find.
