Medium Cool is in the basement of the Gale South Beach hotel at 1690 Collins Avenue, and getting in past the velvet rope is part of the experience. The room is windowless, dark, and lit by a disco ball and roving spotlight. The whole design references 1970s Miami glamour.

Live jazz starts at 6pm and DJs take over at 10pm. Small plates are available from the hotel kitchen until 9:30pm. A dress code applies from 10pm, described as casual chic. Open Wednesday through Sunday.
