Library Bar has been a DTLA standby on 6th Street since the mid-2000s and holds up as one of the more consistent cocktail lounges in downtown. The interior leans dark-academia with leather sofas, a fireplace, and dim lighting that suits both early-evening drinks and late-night conversations. The cocktail menu uses literary-themed names throughout, including the Adventures of Blackberry Finn and the Tequila Mockingbird made with house-infused serrano tequila. The food menu is more substantial than you might expect for a cocktail bar, covering wings, charcuterie, burgers, and sandwiches. Happy hour runs Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 7pm. DJs come in on weekends but the vibe stays controlled enough that you can still hear yourself talk.
