Harvard and Stone is named for its cross street and the exposed stone exterior of the building on Hollywood Boulevard. Inside it is a factory-styled space with steampunk touches and dim amber lighting, split between a main bar and a smaller back bar called Research and Development that serves more experimental drinks. The H&S band plays American roots music most nights of the week, and burlesque dancers work the room on weekends. All live shows are free. It is one of the louder options in Hollywood and draws a younger crowd on weekends, but the cocktails are solid across both bars and the energy is reliably high without being aggressive about it.
