Access the hidden room by finding the bookshelf door and ringing the buzzer, then whisper the password "books" to the staff. You'll be escorted through floor-to-ceiling bookcases into a dimly lit art deco room glowing with spiked chandeliers. Standing room only with a limited cocktail menu. Open 6pm-2am, seven days a week. The entire Bourbon & Branch complex features five hidden rooms with moving bookcases and trap doors, plus five secret underground tunnels built during Prohibition and still intact. A genuine piece of SF speakeasy history.
