Stookey's Club Moderne
Stookey's Club Moderne at 895 Bush Street between Nob Hill and Union Square evokes post-prohibition San Francisco (1930-1940) through Streamline Moderne design reminiscent of South Beach Miami, Havana, and Napier, New Zealand. The bar specializes in cocktails popular during the American post-Prohibition era of 1933-45, served in period stemware. Guests enjoy 1930s music and classic cocktails including the Aviation, Brunelle, Pan-American Clipper, and Negroni. Founded in 2015 as the culmination of a 20+ year dream by cocktail creator Tim Stookey, it transports guests back to the mood of Dashiell Hammett's San Francisco. Open daily 5pm-2am.
