The Factory 380
The Factory 380 is on 3rd Avenue in Midtown and takes its name and aesthetic from Andy Warhol's Factory, with a 1970s New York energy that saturates the main bar. Somewhere inside that main room, behind a restored brick wall, is Edie's, a hidden speakeasy dedicated to Edie Sedgwick. The space is velvet and low-lit, with a projector running old westerns that create a specific kind of atmosphere that manages to feel both campy and genuinely moody at the same time.
The cocktail program in Edie's goes deeper on the craft side than the surrounding theme might suggest, and the main bar and restaurant are lively enough that getting to the back room feels like an actual transition rather than just walking through a door. The full menu operates across both spaces, covering the expected brunch-to-late-night range.
For a Midtown bar with this kind of theme density, The Factory 380 is better at what it does than most of the competition.
