Entwine Cocktail Bar
Entwine is at 765 Washington Street on the far west edge of the West Village, in a building that wears the neighborhood's aesthetic naturally. Reclaimed wood, weathered tin ceilings, leather-bound books on shelves, and a back patio with ivy-covered brick walls and string lights overhead. The main dining room runs Mediterranean-inspired small plates and cocktails with a serious single-malt and bourbon selection backing the craft cocktail menu.
Downstairs is different. The sub-level bar has low ceilings, exposed brick, velvet banquettes, and the character of a genuine speakeasy. The intimate scale means you can hear the conversation next to you, which is either a drawback or the point, depending on why you're there.
Reservations go through Resy for the dining room. The bar operates on its own rhythm, and the combination of the patio and the basement means the space offers very different experiences depending on the season and what you want from the night.
