The Taurus is at 3540 Main Highway in Coconut Grove and has been open for close to a hundred years, which makes it one of the older bars still operating in Miami. It runs as a beer and whiskey house with a full cocktail menu and food from chefs connected to Ariete nearby.

The crowd is a real mix: dog walkers, locals who've been coming for decades, first dates, people watching whatever game is on. Comedy nights, trivia, and sports are all regular features. It's more neighborhood institution than hidden bar, but it holds its place on a stretch of Coconut Grove that's changed considerably around it.
