The Alibi Room on Washington Boulevard in Culver City does not look like much from the outside, which is somewhat by design. Inside it is a dark, angular bar built around craft beer, cocktails, and Roy Choi's food program, with Kogi and Chego items coming out of a small kitchen window. The tap handles rotate with West Coast and local California craft selections, and the cocktail list is short but considered. The music skews indie electronica and the space is intimate enough that it never feels like a scene, even when busy. Seating is limited and the bar can fill up on weekends, so arriving before the dinner rush gives you better odds of a spot.
