Break Room 86 is an 80s-themed bar inside The Line Hotel in Koreatown, and the only way in is through a vintage vending machine at the back of the hotel's loading dock area. Once you push through, you end up in a space that goes all in on the high school nostalgia concept: cassette tape walls, retro arcade games including original Donkey Kong, lockers, private karaoke rooms, and a bar that transforms into a stage on weekend nights. The drinks lean into the theme with wine coolers served in glass flasks and alcoholic Push-Up Pops. It gets packed on weekends and the waits can stretch 45 minutes or more, so arriving before 11pm helps. The karaoke rooms can be booked for groups of ten to twenty.
