Endless Bummer is a goth tropical purgatory speakeasy nestled at Betelgeuse Betelgeuse on Montrose. This immersive 50-person tiki bar was created by veteran Houston restaurateur Chris Cusack and transforms a 700-square-foot space into a surreal escape somewhere between death and vacation. The bar features elaborate murals and art installations crafted by a collective of ten local Houston artists, including neon work and dioramas that blend tropical island vibes with purgatorial aesthetics.

The cocktails are equally creative, featuring signature drinks like the Pistachio Mai Tai (flamed tableside) and the Silver Surfer (with a LED light that sparkles like a star). Drinks are powered by fresh juices, liquid nitrogen, and inventive spirit combinations. Open Thursday through Saturday from 5pm to midnight, reservations are available but not required. This is the kind of bar where the environment is as memorable as the drinks themselves.
