Providencia
Tucked just off H Street in a cozy 22-seat hideaway, Providencia is a love letter to the immigrant experience created by Maketto's James Beard-nominated chef Erik Bruner-Yang and co-owner chef Paola Velez. This intimate cocktail bar blends Asian and Latin American traditions, reflecting the Taiwanese, Cambodian, and Salvadoran heritage of its creators. Signature drinks like Café de Olla (made with Salvadoran rum, horchata, and café de olla) and the playfully named Tres Tristes Tigres showcase each spirit's unique cultural influences. Every drink tells a story of cross-cultural connection, making each sip a whimsical journey through multiple homelands. Open Tuesday-Saturday starting at 5pm.
