Zig Zag Cafe

A pioneering cocktail bar tucked away beneath Pike Place Market in a 1910-built building, regarded as one of the best bars in America and internationally recognized for leading the craft cocktail revival. Named one of GQ's best bars in the nation in 2010.

Zig Zag Cafe is particularly famous for rediscovering the pre-Prohibition "Last Word" cocktail through bartender Murray Stenson (2002-2011), who single-handedly brought this classic back to bars worldwide. The bar is a speakeasy atmosphere down a staircase along the Pike Street Hill Climb, away from tourist crowds.
