The Coffin Club, formerly Lovecraft Bar, is a horror-themed LGBTQ-friendly bar at 421 SE Grand in Portland. Lovecraft Bar opened January 1, 2011, and was renamed The Coffin Club. The space shrouds kink-themed DJ nights and goth-themed burlesque in fog. Just off the pentagram-adorned dance floor is a room with a coffin and Cthulhu monster posters. Open after 10pm, a small room looks like the inside of a Tim Burton movie, complete with creepy burlap puppets. The venue regularly hosts live music and various themed events throughout the year.
