Low Brow Lounge
Low Brow Lounge is Portland's legendary dive bar in the Pearl District, one of the last of its kind since opening in 1998. Located at 1036 NW Hoyt Street, this is where working people come to drink cheap with no pretense. The bar keeps things so dark that your eyes need a moment to adjust, and drink prices are basically unbeatable within a half-mile radius. Low Brow specializes in local Oregon wines, beers, and ciders while serving up some of the greasiest food around including famous tater tots, fried shrimp, and deep fried mac and cheese. Happy hour runs Monday through Saturday from 5pm to 7pm. This is genuine Portland dive bar culture preserved in the gentrifying Pearl, a place where everybody from longtime regulars to newcomers can afford to have a good time.
