Rice Vice: Part One
Rice Vice: Part One
Rice Vice is a new drinking concept by Proper Sake Co. located at 3109 Ambrose Ave near Trinity Lane and Ellington Parkway in East Nashville. The tasting room for owner Byron Stithem's award-winning Proper Saké brewery focuses on curious styles of sake, some made on site, some curated from Japan. The menu also features Koji inspired beers, the coldest Highballs in town, and vinyl spinning through a record player. Wood-paneled walls from the original location, a refurbished 1970s chandelier, bright orange cushions along a wall-length banquette, and vintage framed photos from local flea markets create cozy ambiance. The knowledgeable bartenders include those involved in sake production. A pleasant patio provides outdoor seating. Esquire magazine named this Nashville sake bar one of the best bars in the nation. It boasts the only local sake on tap in the city.
