Barrel Proof opened in December 2023 in the Germantown neighborhood and immediately established itself as serious whiskey territory. Located at 1010 4th Avenue North, this upscale dive bar vibe brings New Orleans swagger to Nashville. The back bar holds over 300 bottles with 80 percent focused on whiskey, including a strong emphasis on Tennessee labels. The cocktail menu honors timeless classics like the Old Fashioned and Sazerac, balanced with innovative seasonal creations and rotating weekly specials. Daily happy hour from 4 to 6 PM offers $7 margaritas, daiquiris, and old fashioneds. The extended Nashville menu features drinks you won't find at the original New Orleans location.
