Kaona is inside the Leinster Irish Pub at 1600 NE 1st Avenue in Edgewater. You walk past the pub and look for a neon sign that reads "Caribbean Water Supply." Beside it is a small sign next to a doorbell that says "Ring for a Mai Tai." That's the entrance.

The bar is run by Daniele Dalla Pola, who also runs Esotico Miami, and the drinks lean heavily tiki. The room itself is dim, kitschy, and tropical. It holds a small number of people and the walk-in lines can build on weekends.
