Bar Nossa is the front-of-house speakeasy component of Nossa Omakase, hidden in the back of a poke restaurant at 1600 Collins Avenue in South Beach. You find the red door, say the password, and step into a small lounge where black and white vintage Japanese films play on the walls and the music is Latin jazz and bossa nova.

The bar is stocked heavily with Japanese whisky and the cocktail program reflects that. It earned a spot in the Michelin Guide in 2022. The omakase behind it runs 18 courses over about three hours under chef Max Kamura, who was born in Brazil of Japanese descent and trained in traditional technique before adding more theatrical elements. Monthly Wagyu and Whiskey dinners pair the omakase with aged beef.

You can book just the bar without the omakase, but the two were designed to work together.
