Bar Kaiju is on the mezzanine level of the Citadel food hall at 8300 NE 2nd Avenue in Little River. The bar is dim, backlit in red, and the whole room is dedicated to the monsters of Japanese and Asian cinema.

The drink menu is printed on individual trading cards, each one featuring a creature with its characteristics and the cocktail it inspired. Mechagodzilla becomes a highball of Japanese whiskey and cherry blossom-infused vermouth. Rodan, a giant fire demon, turns into a peppery margarita finished with a spicy lollipop.

Bar Kaiju opened in early 2023 and was named one of the best new bars in the country by both Esquire and Bon Appetit. Hours are Wednesday and Sunday from 6pm to 1am, Thursday through Saturday from 7pm to 2am.
