The Edmon is on Melrose Avenue near Larchmont inside the Hollywood Historic Hotel, and the Art Deco bones of the building set the tone throughout the space. The large room with its high ceilings and period details has the feel of drinking on a Great Gatsby film set, which the bar leans into without being precious about it. The cocktail program centers on reimagined classics, rare spirits, and a natural wine list that gets updated regularly. The shimmering gimlet with yuzu bitters and rose mist comes up often as a standout. Bar snacks are available but the kitchen is limited. Prices run higher than a typical neighborhood bar but the quality of both the drinks and the space justifies it.
