Apotheke started in New York before opening this Chinatown Los Angeles outpost, and the concept carries over faithfully. Every cocktail is framed as a botanical remedy or elixir, with names and flavor profiles designed around the apothecary aesthetic. The interior leans dark and moody, with a candlelit back patio that opens things up considerably and gives the place a different energy than the compact main room. Drinks run about $16 and most of them are worth it. The witch-pharmacy vibe is very much the point here, and it lands well on a first visit.
