Lei Low is a tiny tiki oasis in Houston's Heights neighborhood run by husband-and-wife tikiphile team Russell and Elizabeth Thoede. Located at 6412 N Main St next to a convenience store, the unassuming exterior opens into a vintage-America-meets-Polynesian paradise reminiscent of 1960s island life.

The bar specializes in tiki cocktails and rum with a selection of over 100 rums. Lei Low serves drinks inspired by historic tropical standards but in modern style. Tuesday is "Mai Tai Tuesday" with half-price Mai Tais. No reservations, first-come, first-served. The tiki aesthetic here is authentic and immersive, perfect for escaping Houston's urban landscape.
