Occidental is a punk-rock inspired watering hole created by the same brilliant folks behind the sophisticated Williams and Graham speakeasy, intentionally designed as the edgy, dingy dive bar counterpart. Located at 1950 W 32nd Ave in the Northwest Highland neighborhood, this third-generation barman's tribute to his family's bar legacy fuses traditional dive sensibility with thoughtful and inventive cocktails. The punk rock vibe and open seating have made it a neighborhood mainstay where you can grab an excellent cocktail or beer without pretense. The brick walls and long dark wood bar set the scene, while the kitchen uses organic and locally sourced ingredients, notably claiming to have the best vegan burger in town.
