Cruise Room
Cruise Room
The Cruise Room isn't just Denver's oldest continuously operating bar since 1933, it's a time capsule frozen in post-Prohibition glamor. Located in the historic Oxford Hotel in LoDo, the Cruise Room was fashioned after a lounge on the Queen Mary and oozes Art Deco sophistication.
Walking in, you're immediately transported to 1933. The space features distinctive retro Art Deco design with bas-relief wall panels that stretch floor to ceiling, created by Denver artist Alley Henson. Each panel depicts a "toast" from a different culture around the world. The wine-bottle-shaped layout adds another whimsical touch.
The bar offers more than a dozen martinis served from oversized martini shakers, plus small plates including caviar, kafta, oysters, and calamari for snacking. There's no reservation needed, walk-ins are always welcome. This is genuinely one of America's most important historic bars, and the drinks are timeless.
