Rose's Lounge on Lincoln Avenue has been owned by Rose, a Macedonian native, since 1980. The decor operates on its own logic: year-round Christmas decorations, a vintage jukebox, a plaid couch, mismatched furniture that nobody has bothered to coordinate because it works exactly as it is.

Old Style on draft comes in frosted mugs for $2. There's a pool table. The dive bar community voted it best dive bar in Chicago in 2021, which is the kind of distinction you earn by never trying to be something else.
