Revolver on Milwaukee Avenue in Wicker Park has leather booths, a marbled checkerboard floor, and an ornate tin ceiling that makes the place feel like it was assembled from the wreckage of several better decades. The co-owners also run The Duplex in Logan Square and apply a similar logic here: themed interiors that change every six months, keeping the space from going stale.

The cocktail list leans pre-Prohibition, with amaretto sours, dirty martinis, and an Old Cuban that shows up in most reviews. DJs play every night, mellow early in the week and louder on weekends with throwback R&B and hip-hop. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 5pm.
