Reading Room on Lake Street in the West Loop is a library-themed ultra lounge that transitions from cocktails to full dance floor as the night progresses. The cocktail menu pulls names from children's books: Winnie-the-Pooh, Memoirs of a Geisha, Tale of Peter Rabbit, The Ugly Duckling. The drinks are more serious than the names imply.

It holds private events for up to 500 guests and offers full bottle service packages on weekends. Open Thursday and Friday until 2am, Saturday until 3am. The room does double duty well: dinner-adjacent early, club-adjacent late.
