New Orleans
The Coral Wig
The Coral Wig rises as one of Baltimore's darkest bars and somehow becomes a beacon, its tropical fantasy inspired by 1980s Manila and island childhoods. Hand-painted checkered floors, green velvet banquettes, and amber-stained glass frame tropical cocktails that taste like stolen vacations—daiquiris, painkillers, estate martinis with overripe pineapple. At just 35 seats inside with an intimate outdoor patio, this is where the city's cognoscenti disappear to pretend the weather is always warm and nobody's watching.
